Serum FAQ

Serum FAQ

General Questions

How much should I use? 2–4 drops is usually enough for the face and neck. A little goes a long way.

Can I use both serums every day? Yes. Most people use Lady of the Lake every morning and Amber of Avalon every night. If your skin feels sensitive at first, you can use Amber every other night until it adjusts.

Should I rub the serums in? No. Press or pat them gently into the skin. Rubbing can make the richer night serum feel heavier than necessary.

Lady of the Lake, Morning Mists

Do I need to mist or dampen my face before applying? Yes. A light mist or damp skin helps the oil-soluble hyaluronic acid perform better and improves overall absorption.

Why does my skin feel soft and slightly “cushioned” after using it? This is the combination of ceramides and oil-soluble hyaluronic acid supporting the skin barrier. It is intentional and usually considered a pleasant effect.

Is it normal for the serum to feel richer than water-based serums I’m used to? Yes. Lady of the Lake is an anhydrous (oil-based) treatment serum, not a water-based product. It is designed to nourish and protect without the drying effect that water-based formulas can have in dry climates.

Amber of Avalon

Why do I need to gently shake the bottle before use? Amber of Avalon contains liposomal copper peptide. The liposomes can settle over time, so a gentle shake redistributes them evenly before each use.

How is Amber of Avalon different from Lady of the Lake? Lady of the Lake is a daytime barrier-support serum. Amber of Avalon is a nighttime repair serum built around an effective concentration of copper peptide (GHK-Cu). It focuses on deeper renewal while you sleep.

How does Amber of Avalon renew my skin? The copper peptide signals the skin to clear older cells and begin forming new collagen and elastin while you sleep. In the first 1–3 weeks, some people notice mild tightness, dryness, or slight flakiness as this renewal process begins. This is temporary and not everyone experiences it.

What should I do if my skin feels tight or flaky?

  • Continue using Lady of the Lake in the morning (or as needed during the day)
  • Use Amber of Avalon every other night for a few days if needed
  • Press (don’t rub) the serum into the skin

Most people find their skin feels smoother and more resilient as this phase passes.

Using them together

Lady of the Lake and Amber of Avalon were formulated as companions. The morning serum focuses on barrier support and antioxidant protection. The night serum focuses on deeper repair and renewal while you sleep.

Using them together gives the most complete results.
